About Paulina
Sole Provider of Luna Birth Services

A need for more Midwives to be able to provide the kind of care that improves birth-related outcomes, is what encouraged me to pursue this path.

Philosophy
I believe pregnancy and childbirth is much more than a process by which babies develop and are born. I believe that everyone deserves compassionate care, informed and educational consent, and options that fit their family's lifestyle and boundaries. I believe it is a transformational time of a parent's life and that labor can be a spiritual experience to both the parent and baby. I see labor as a life-changing, empowering, and spiritually expansive event. Every birth experience should include the most essential and vital necessities such as feelings of safety, respect, and honesty. I recognize the uniqueness of each parent, each baby, and each family.

Meet Paulina
Paulina began studying Midwifery in 2014 at Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery in San Diego, California, where she was born and raised. In 2017, she graduated with a Diploma in Holistic Midwifery and has been an apprentice at La Matriz Birth with Bianca Mercado, LM, CPM, and is currently finishing up her last births before she earns her own License to provide Midwifery Care in the State of California. Paulina is passionate about Spinning Babies and the "magic of body balancing". Paulina is proud to be able to provide Spanish speaking communities with her services which are rooted in Mexican Cultures. Paulina has been crossing the largest international border of US-Mexico with Bianca Mercado, LM, to provide Midwifery care since 2017. Paulina attended 200HR Yoga Teacher Training in 2015, while she was in Midwifery school, with the desire to one day guide mommas with prenatal and postpartum yoga. Paulina is an entrepreneur at heart, loves to practice yoga, loves to be around nature especially the ocean, read about the moon personal growth. Paulina is a health enthusiast and will choose eco friendly and sustainable options any day. When she's not with clients or at births, she spends her time around family, yoga, working out, nature, and creative projects.
